Stone of Help

It seems almost everything points to Jesus in the Old Testament. When Israel backslid and they repented and put away their false gods, the Philistines came from the north to destroy them in their own land. Similar to how the Palestine is seeking to destroy Israel today. However, Samuel interceded for Israel and the Holy One was their help:

1 Samuel 7:8-14 KJV - And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. [9] And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord : and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel; and the Lord heard him. [10] And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. [11] And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth-car. [12] Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer (Strong's H72), saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us. [13] So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel. [14] And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.

* The stone called Ebenezer, is from the Hebrew word 'eben hâ‛êzer and means "stone of help".  Jesus Christ is the rock on which we build our house, He is the chief corner Stone that has set the new covenant. It seems the Holy One, the stone of help for Israel, will be revealed to Jerusalem very soon in Daniel's 70th week, and will deliver the remnant:

Zechariah 13:6-9 KJV - And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. [7] Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. [8] And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord , two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
