Who is Jesus?

The Jews rejected Him, Muhammad of Islam calls Him a prophet, the Jehovah Witnesses say He is an angel, Mormons say He is a god, the Hindus say He is just a Holy Man, the New Age makes Him into a normal man who ascended through occult practices, Buddhist say He was enlightened? So which one is true?

Here is an article detailing the different versions of Jesus throughout various religions and cultures:

http://coldcasechristianity.com/2017/who-is-jesus-according-to-other-religions/

  • Jews believe Jesus was Mary’s son, was a teacher (Rabbi), had many disciples, was respected, performed miracles, claimed to be the Messiah and was crucified on the cross. They also acknowledge His followers reported Jesus was raised from the dead.
  • Muslims believe Jesus was born of a virgin, is to be revered and respected, was a prophet, a wise teacher who worked miracles, ascended to heaven, and will come again.
  • Ahmadiyya Muslims believe Jesus may have been born of a virgin, was a prophet and wise teacher, worked miracles, and was crucified on a cross.
  • Bahá’í believe Jesus came from God, was a wise teacher who had a divine and human nature, worked miracles, and was crucified and resurrected as an atonement for humanity.
  • Hindus believe Jesus was a holy man, a wise teacher, and is a ‘god’.
  • Buddhists believe Jesus was an enlightened man and a wise teacher.
  • New Age believers maintain Jesus was a wise moral teacher.

Question

Can all of the religions and ideas of Jesus be correct, and is their a true Jesus? Do these religions contradict in terms of the identity of Jesus? If all religions are true, then why do they contradict on so many levels? These are all questions we should ask when seeking the "truth." Also, if Jesus was not an important or historical figure, then why or how has Jesus become so well acknowledged throughout most major religions and cultures?

So What is The Truth?

According to the Bible, Jesus states He is the "truth, the life, and the way" and no can get to the Father except through the Biblical Jesus (John 14:6).

So who is Jesus Christ? That is the question we should all be asking, and I tell you Jesus is God embodied, the Creator of the Universe. Jesus is one with the God of the Old Testament, the Holy One of Israel, who has all power and authority over all things in Heaven and on earth! Please repent and seek the truth while you still can.

It is said that there are over 5000 new testament manuscripts that range back to the first century AD and they are within 99% accuracy of one another. We have to seek these things out with an open mind and pray to God that He will show us the truth. The Jewish books of Moses tell us clearly that Yeshua Jesus is the Messiah and One with the Father God. He is God in human flesh, who was sent to redeem us from the wages of sin and death and to show us He alone has power over life and death and all things.

So What Now?

Read the Bible, keep His Holy commandments, get water baptized, receive the Holy Spirit, and live for Him according to scripture (John 14). He died for your sins and rose again, as a blameless lamb of God (Isaiah 53), and it is only His blood that washes away our sin.

The Biblical Writings

Jesus was prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah in the Tanakh (Old Testament), long before He was born in the flesh:

  • Isaiah 7:14 KJV — Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (God with us).

The next verses show that the child that is born is the Everlasting Father, with a Kingdom that will be forever:

  • Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV — For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Jesus - The Only Way

It is only through the teachings and blood sacrifice of Jesus that we can be saved and reconciled to God:

  • John 14:6 KJV — Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
  • John 8:24 KJV — I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he (Messiah), ye shall die in your sins.

Jesus - One With The Father

This verse shows that Jesus and the Father are One:

  • John 10:30 KJV — I and my Father are one.

Jesus The Great I Am

Jesus says He is the I Am, the I Am that appeared to Moses:

  • John 8:58 KJV — Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

In the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh), God Almighty (YHVH) indicates that He is the first and the last. He is from everlasting to everlasting:

  • Isaiah 44:6 KJV - Thus saith the Lord (Strong's H3068), the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

The word LORD was translated from YHVH which is the Almighty God, and Jesus calls Himself the first and the last, God Almighty, in Revelation 1:7-8 and also in Revelation 22:12-16.

Jesus - Before All Things

These verses show us that Jesus existed before all things, created all things, and is the image of the invisible God of creation:

  • Colossians 1:12-20 KJV — Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Jesus - Equal With God

These verses show that Jesus is a form of God, who is equal to the Father, as he is God embodied:

  • Philippians 2:5-11 KJV — Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus - God in The Flesh

These verses show us God was manifested in the flesh as Jesus the Christ:

  • 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV — And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

These verses show us that God was in Jesus in an effort to reconcile the world back to Himself:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV — To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

These verses show us that Jesus is the Word that became flesh (verse 14), and Jesus has been God since the beginning:

  • John 1:1-3, 14 KJV — In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus - Part of Holy Trinity

This verse shows us that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one. This is referred to as the Holy Trinity:

  • 1 John 5:7 KJV — For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

This verse shows us that the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ, and that His Spirit dwells in the true believer:

  • Romans 8:9 KJV - But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

These verses also show us that the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit of God the Father that will live in the born again believer:

  • John 14:15-17 KJV - If ye love me (Jesus), keep my commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus The Almighty God

  • Revelation 1:5-20 KJV - And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. [7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
  • [8] " I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
  • [9] I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. [10] I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
  • [11] Saying, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea."
  • [12] And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; [13] And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
  • [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. [16] And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
  • [17] And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, "Fear not; I am the first and the last: [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. [19] Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; [20] The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."

In the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh), God Almighty (YHVH - H3068), calls Himself the First and the last, and that He is the only God.

  • Isaiah 44:6 KJV - Thus saith the Lord (Strong's H3068) the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

The word LORD (H3068) was translated from YHVH which is the Almighty God, and Jesus calls Himself the first and the last, God Almighty, in Revelation 1:7-8 and also in Revelation 22:12-16. If God is one God and there is no other God, then how can Jesus also be God Almighty? It is because God the Son is one with God the Father.

Isaiah Chapter 53 describes His life and suffering and soul offering for our sins.

Jesus is God

Jesus - The Great Commision!

We are in the last days and tomorrow is not promised!! Wake up and call on the name of the LORD, Jesus said:

  • Matthew 28:18-20 KJV — And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Man of Sin/Antichrist is here on earth and soon to be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2), and many people will perish during the judgement of God, and many will fall into Apostasy and the false religion of Babylon that is emerging through Pope Francis. The One World government (Revelation 13-14) is rising and many will lose their soul for going along with them. This is Satan's last effort to bring humanity into hell with him. Seek the LORD Jesus Christ before it's too late:

  • John 3:16-18 KJV — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

  • Romans 10:9-11 KJV — That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Extra-Biblical Book of Enoch

Also the Book of Enoch (Enoch 1 - Ethiopian), seems to reveal the Messiah Jesus as the Son of Man. The Book of Enoch (Article Here) may be the first book ever written, as Enoch was alive during the days of the first Adam. While this writing does not quite show the mystery of the Holy Trinity, it seems to match with the Biblical description of Jesus the Messiah of Israel (God Almighty in the flesh).

  • Enoch 48.2 - And at that hour that Son of Man (Jesus/Yeshua) was named, in the presence of the Lord of Spirits (YHVH), and his name brought to the Head of Days. 48.3 Even before the Sun and the constellations were created, before the Stars of Heaven were made, his name was named in front of the Lord of Spirits.  48.4 He will be a staff to the righteous and the Holy, so that they may lean on him and not fall, and he will be the Light of the Nations, and he will be the hope of those who grieve in their hearts. 48.5 All those who dwell upon the dry ground will fall down and worship in front of him, and they will bless, and praise, and celebrate with psalms, the name of the Lord of Spirits. 48.6 And because of this he was chosen, and hidden in front of Him, before the World was created, and forever. 48.7 But the wisdom of the Lord of Spirits has revealed him to the Holy and the righteous, for he has kept safe the lot of the righteous, for they have hated and rejected this world of iniquity. And all its works and its ways they have hated in the name of the Lord of Spirits. For in His name they are saved and he is the one who will require their lives.
