Micah 5:3 Prophecy
"Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel."
Composed from various commentarries and personal interpretation:
"Therefore will he give them up"
In Micah 1-2 we see that Israel betrayed their Shepherd who came from Bethlehem (Messiah Jesus) as the everlasting ruler. Most of the Jews did not accept Yeshua (Jesus) as the final atonement for sins. Therefore, He will give up his people (Israel) into the hands of their enemies, or leave them to be exercised with troubles and afflictions, till the appointed time of their deliverance should come. Until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth. Alluding most likely to Daniel 9:27, which is Daniel's 70th week, the final period for the atonement of Israel.
"until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth"
Daniel's 70th week seems to be referred to as a labor, or a painful birth. We see in Matthew 24, the signs of Jesus' second coming are called Birthpains in Matthew 24:8 (some translations reads "sorrows"). This line of scripture probably is referring to Israel in Birthpains (see Revelation 12:2-6) where it appears the woman "Israel" brings forth a Manchild. The Manchild is most likely the spiritual children of Abraham by faith (Christians - Galatians 3:29), who will be caught up to God's throne (1 Corinthians 15:52). Israel is then persecuted by Satan, and flees to the wilderness for 3.5 years (Matthew 24:15-21) for the great Tribulation. This the latter half of Daniel's 70th week (Daniel 9:27). Israel flees into the wilderness after the abomination of desolation (2 Thessalonians 2) in the Third Temple 3.5 years into the 7 year period. Then it seems the remnant of Israel in the wilderness will meet with Jesus their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10) when Jesus returns from Heaven to the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:3-4). "Then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel"
This could mean that the remnant of the Messiah's brethren (Matt 12:50), perhaps the Jews who accept the Messiah (Zechariah 12:10), will return to be heirs of the Kingdom of God (Galatians 4:6) after Daniel's 70th week. This could also be alluding to the tribulations saints that will be resurrected when Jesus returns from Heaven in the sky (Revelation 20:4).
