War on Israel - Latter Days
In my previous post, I wrote about the multitude of nations coming against Israel:
In addition, it is said that in the latter years, an alliance of nations will come against Israel and make war against the people of God, the Holy One.
- Ezekiel 38:1-6 KJV - And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, [2] Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, [3] And say, Thus saith the Lord God ; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: [4] And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: [5] Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: [6] Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
It seems the hook in the jaw of the Gog alliance will be the lure of Israel's oil wealth. We can see from this verse we know this war is reserved for the latter years:
- Ezekiel 38:8 KJV - After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
* This seems to mean that this alliance will storm the lands of Israel, who have been called out of many nations to fulfill Bible Prophecy for Daniel's 70th week:

[10] Thus saith the Lord God ; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: [11] And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, [12] To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. [13] Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
* This shows us the evil intent of this alliance to devour weaker unwalled nations.
- [14] Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God ; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it ? [15] And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: [16] And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
* These above verses shows us that this Gog and Magog alliance seeks to take Israel in a time of peace and safety. Yet, the Holy One of Yisrael will be made known.
- [17] Thus saith the Lord God ; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? [18] And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God , that my fury shall come up in my face. [19] For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; [20] So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. [21] And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God : every man's sword shall be against his brother. [22] And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. [23] Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord .
This attack on Israel seems to be allowed to fulfill what seems to be a dual-prophesy by Prophet Joel and Ezekiel in these latter days:
- Joel 3:9-21 KJV - Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: [10] Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. [11] Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord . [12] Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. [13] Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. [14] Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. [15] The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. [16] The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. [17] So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. [18] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord , and shall water the valley of Shittim. [19] Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. [20] But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. [21] For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the Lord dwelleth in Zion.
- Ezekiel 39:1-9 KJV - Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God ; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: [2] And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: [3] And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. [4] Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. [5] Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it , saith the Lord God . [6] And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord . [7] So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord , the Holy One in Israel. [8] Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord God ; this is the day whereof I have spoken. [9] And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
* Ezekiel Chapter 38 seems to reiterate the judgment that is to be fulfilled against Gog and Magog.
In December 2018, President Trump suddenly ordered a withdrawal from U.S. troops in Israel. It seems that America pulling out of Syria will leave Israel without ally support, and making way for a stronger Gog and Magog presence. We know that in the past, Israel has fired missiles into Syria. We also know that Damascus will be a ruinous heap according to Isaiah 17.

The United States will move quickly to withdraw all forces from Syria, the White House abruptly announced Wednesday, as President Trump defied warnings from his top advisers and upended plans for a continued mission against the Islamic State.
The move plunged U.S. allies into uncertainty and created the potential for greater regional instability even as it provided Russia and its ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a chance to cement greater control over the country.
“Our boys, our young women, our men, they’re all coming back and they’re coming back now. We won,” Trump said in a video message on Twitter.
1/2020 - It seems the US and Iran tensions could cause Iraq to expel US forces from the region which could bolster the presence of Russia in the Middle East, stregthening the Gog of MaGog alliance against Israel.

1/2020 - Hours before Iran launched a missile attack on U.S. troops in Iraq, Vladimir Putin visited Syria to huddle with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad over the mounting U.S.-Iran crisis. Russia has repeatedly condemned the U.S. airstrikes that killed Iranian Major Gen. Qassem Soleimani. It’s fair to assume that leaders in Moscow are seeking to turn the situation to their advantage.
Relations between Washington and Tehran have deteriorated since the onset of the Syrian conflict and even more so since President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal. At the same time, Russia and Iran have grown closer through military cooperation in Syria. Moscow’s expanding influence in Syria suggests that a conflict between the United States and Iran could advance Russia’s power and reputation in the region. At the very least, Russia will be able to paint the United States as an erratic aggressor, leading regional actors and international allies to question cooperation with Washington.
Russia has helped the Assad regime maintain control in Syria, even as the U.S. and its NATO allies demanded Assad’s ouster. As the U.S. pulls back from Syria, Assad and Russia remain in control. Russia’s backing of Assad began as a quest to undermine U.S. interests and gain influence in the Middle East. More than four years later, Russia’s triumphs from that conflict include drawing Turkey away from its NATO allies, building a reputation as a valuable foreign backer, and emerging as a kingmaker—all at the expense of the United States.
Poorly reasoned U.S. foreign policy decisions, such as, most recently, abandoning Kurdish partners in Syria, helped create a power vacuum that Russia has stepped in to fill. Friday’s strikes — and every Trump administration action taken since — will likely improve Russia’s position in Syria and the broader region. Iraq’s government is outraged by what it views as a U.S. violation of its sovereignty, with the Iraqi prime minister calling the strike a “flagrant violation of the conditions authorizing the presence of U.S. troops.” Iraq could soon expel U.S. forces from the country in response. With no troops in Iraq, the United States will find it hard to sustain a presence in Syria. That void would create more maneuverability for Moscow in the region — essentially, cementing its position as a regional power broker.
I conjecture that this same alliance of nations for the Gog and Magog war against Israel is forming now and will be used to enact judgment upon the US backslidding nation:

- Zechariah 12:6-10 KJV - In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. [7] The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. [10] And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Jewish Prophecy
According to a 15 year old jewish boy named Natan, who was clinically dead for 15 minutes, the end is soon to come and the coming of the Messiah on earth. Here is a brief overview of his testimony. This is not a verbatim transcript.
Natan’s near death experience happened on the first night of the past 2015 Sukkot, which was also the night of the final Blood Moon of that year. After he died, he rose above the earth and saw a light that was full of love and security. He can’t properly explain how amazing this was. When Natan's soul left his body, he went to Heaven and saw visions of what is to come.
He indicate that the war of Gog and Magog has already started (27th of Elul, 2015, or September 11, 2015), and that there will be a great world war that Israel will not be involved in, but then everyone will unite and want Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12, Ezekiel 38-39) Obama will be leading the attack against Israel as Gog and will have the United Nations, Russia, Iran, and many other nations with him. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) will hold them back for 2 days and be defeated. They will invade, kill, kidnap, and the sort. God will stop an atomic bomb attack but there will be an invasion and many jews will die who did not keep the Torah. Those who have merit and observe the Torah will be protected in Jerusalem.
Natan indicated the Messiah is someone very well known and is without sin, but does not specify who (Jesus). The Messiah will destroy Obama and bury him in Israel. (Ezekiel 39:11) The Mount of Olives will crack open and be split down the middle (Zechariah 14) and the Messiah will judge every person on their works and inside soul and if they fear God (Revelation 20). The Messiah (Jesus) will be in a robe with blood stains and exact revenge on the world. (Revelation 19:13)

Israel Invaded?
In Matthew 24, verse 15, it speaks of the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing in the Holy Place (see Daniel 9:27 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3), in which case those who are Judea are told to flee immediately into the mountains at the second half of Daniel's 70th Week. I believe that they will flee to what is known as Petra or Bozra until the redeemer Yeshua Jesus returns at the end of Daniel's 70th Week (Revelation 19-20) to liberate them.
We know in Revelation 11 that it speaks of the Third Temple being built and also that the outer court will be trodden down by the Gentiles for 42 months, I believe this is the second half of Daniel's 70th week after the Abomination of Desolation. I believe Israel will be overtaken by the AntiChrist and his troops until Jesus returns just as Judas Macabbeus in the Hanukkah account.
- Zechariah 13:8-9 KJV — And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
I believe those that are redeemed will be the ones who believe in Yeshua Jesus according to Zechariah 12:10.
- Zechariah 12:10 KJV — And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
We also read in Luke 21 that Israel will then be scattered into all nations after the Abomination of Desolation occurs until the time of the fulness of the Gentiles which seems to occur at the return of Jesus. We see that this period of 42 months (1260 Days) falls in line with Daniel 12, where it speaks of one thousand three hundred and thirty days which is 70 days past the one thousand two hundred and sixty days, most likely to account for the Battle of Armageddon and the purifying of the Temple.
- Daniel 12:11-12 KJV — And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
- Zechariah 14:1-4 KJV — Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
This passage from Zechariah 14, seems to parallel Joel 3 and Revelation 19 and I believe they all speak of the Battle of Armageddon:
- Joel 3:1-2 KJV — For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
Ultimately it will be Christ at His return that will defeat the armies of the world gathered against Israel in the battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19-20), and then I believe the remnant in Israel and Petra or Bozrah will be delivered! It is only Christ who can save His nation, even though the whole world will be against them!
The Remnant of Israel - Daniel's 70th Week
An interesting note is that Revelation 12 tells us the Woman, a representation of Israel the nation, will flee into the wilderness for three and a half years. This is supported by the verses in Matthew 24 after the Abomination of Desolation, which is the final half of Daniel's 70th week:
- Revelation 12:13-14 KJV - And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. [14] And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
* It is commonly understood that a "time" is one year, and "times" is two years, and a "half a time" is half a year. This makes three and half years the same as 42 months.
In the Book of Zechariah, after the Holy Spirit is poured out in Jerusalem in Daniel's 70th week (Zechariah 12), a remnant will be saved and purified (Zechariah 13). It is said that one third of Israel will be spared, and it seems that thus verse in Micah 5:2 speaks of the remnant being delivered at the return of Jesus the Messiah:
- Micah 2:12-13 KJV - I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. [13] The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them.
From a Christian source, it is proposed that Bozrah is a reference to Petra - the rock enclave in which the remnant of Israel will flee to (Matthew 24:15-21) after the Abomination of Desolation takes place in the Third Temple (2 Thessalonians 2). It seems they will wait there until Jesus returns to destroy the AntiChrist and False Prophet and break up the wolves surrounding Israel as shepherd with His rod (Revelation 19-20):
"Jesus is clearly teaching about the sheepcote and how the shepherd places himself in the only door opening to protect the sheep from the enemy. In Hebrew Bozrah means “the sheep of the fold” and describes the place the Jews will flee to in the days to come according the God’s Word. Today in wilderness of southern Jordan is a tock fortress surrounded by harsh rugged mountains called Petra, the Roman name for “The Rock.” The ancient Nabateans conquered the Edomites and created a treasure city with incredible temples and altars into the red rock to worship their pagan gods and goddesses. The only entrance into this great city hidden in the clefts of the rock is through a very narrow passage called the Siq, which is several long winding through a narrow passage with walls over 500 ft high….Petra is the perfect picture of a sheepcote!"
The Name of the False Messiah to be Revealed!
11/15/2020 - Israel Today reported that Rabbi Nir Ben-Artzi, told Israelis that God is ready to reveal the name of the Messiah (AntiChrist), and urged the people to “be in unity” and “get ready!” This means that the AntiChrist will soon appear in Israel and confirm the covenant with many or peace Deal with Israel and many nations, according to Daniel 9:27.
"The rabbi pointed to the disunity in the Israeli government and stressed that this is the appointed time for the people to call out for Messiah and the return of the Sanhedrin, the council of sages that oversaw Jewish life in ancient times.
“Ask for the Messiah and the Sanhedrin,” preached Ben-Artzi, “the Messiah will come soon to stop the plague and the Gentiles around us from harming the Land of Israel.”
Earlier this year, Ben-Artzi urged Jews still living in the Diaspora to return to Israel in preparation for the Messiah’s arrival."
The Battle of Armageddon
The Bible tells us both in the Old Testament (Jewish Tanakh) and New Testament that the LORD God Almighty will defend Israel in the last days and make Himself known among all the nations, that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is known as the Battle of Armageddon when the Lord Jesus returns to defeat the AntiChrist, the False Prophet, and all the nations gathered against Israel (see Revelation 19) at the end of Daniel's 70th Week. These chapters all seems to be speaking of the Battle of Armageddon:

It seems that this Battle of Armageddon will take place in the valley of Jezreel or the Valley of Jehoshaphat. Here is an excerpt from Israelmybeloved.com:
The staging ground for the Battle of Armageddon – when all the nations line up and attack Israel in the end – might be in the Valley of Jezreel, but the target and focus of this war is Jerusalem – the City of the Great King. If this battle is to take place mainly in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, which begins in and around Jerusalem and descends to the Dead Sea Valley; and if this valley will turn into a river of blood whose length is 160 miles/257 km, then it will reach as far as Bozrah, which lies towards the southern end of the Dead Sea. This is remarkable, considering that Isaiah 63:1-6 describes the Lord – who in His wrath has tread these nations underfoot – as “the One coming from Bozrah; His garments stained with blood!”
Also, the Book of Revelation tells us that the final judgment, which is the 7th vial/bowl, will be poured out with regard to the valley of Armageddon:
